Here is video I shot at Festy 2012. Andy's solo starts at 6:10.

The video doesn't do the performance justice. The crowd energy was palpable.

Other vids I shot that weekend:

Place That I Call Home-Black Rock - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kX_676PFHGI

Long And Lonesome Day - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCMbUYniXEA

In God's Country - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_3aC3lbY3U

Steam Powered Aereoplane-Hitchhiker - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktw9Xqp8JFg

Andy Hall crushes this one. No More To Leave You Behind - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBBKpJUJahQ

Echoes of Goodbye - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wnpmd8Gp6w

Fork In The Road-Stage Banter-Uncle Pen - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZaWKv5XYfc

Moon Man - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FTbLllZO4o

I am still working through vids of The Founding Fathers (Andy Hall and Chris Pandolfi) on the Basecamp Back Porch at Festy. I'll get to them whenever.

Awesome. Thx for all the vids. What did you use to shoot them?

Last night they also played outstanding versions of Hitchiker, Fork In The Road (more jammed out than I've heard before), and Steam Powered Aeroplane. I wanted to take at least one vid, but could not stop boogying around long enough to have a steady cam.

Sony HDR – XR160 Handycam. 3 megapixel stills, full HD res movies. 5.1 channel balanced sound (which doesn't balance too badly even standing directly in front of a speaker stack). Big plus is the 160 Gb hard drive integral to the cam. I could have recorded both nights of the Dusters' sets in full HD with plenty of room for at least 1.5-2 more hours of recording.

Interface is very easy - I've been very pleased with it.

Hey Rick, I'm heading down to Manteo at the end of next week. I'll be down for three months. Any good bands coming up? Looking forward to crab cakes!

What's your favorite show on the Archive? I'd like to see them and want to entice my concert buddy.

Has to be a two part answer.

The Dusters' mandolin player (Jesse Cobb) left the band a year ago and the dynamic has changed.

Second night at this year's festy was phenomenal.

Short set, but really good. Many of us thought that Yonder Mountain should have opened for the Dusters...

Tabernacle, one of the best performances of Moon Man: http://archive.org/details/isd2012-02-11

Grey Fox: http://archive.org/details/ISD2012-07-19.MilabVM-44Link.flac16

Old lineup, two standout shows:

Station Inn, just after they won several IBMA awards:

Hornings Hideout, SBD, great quality: http://archive.org/details/infamousstringdusters2009-07-18.soundboard.flac16

If none of these entice your concert buddy, you need a new concert buddy.

Thanks Mando. I'm happy to report after distributing the Hornings Hideout link I have two others signed onboard, with another likely. If all goes as planned we'll catch ISD at the Wonder Ballroom on Nov 3rd.

If you ever make it out for the NW String Summit @ Horning Hideouts give me a shout.
